Hi, I’m Charlie Houghton and I proudly run Houghton’s Hounds dog training. I am an ABTC accredited Animal Training Instructor, and I provide official Puppy School courses, group classes and 1-to-1 dog and puppy training, in and around Worcester.
Sharing your life and home with a four-legged-friend can often be more difficult than you imagined. I’m here to help you find harmony and peace, and to support you all to live as happily as possible, while always putting your dog’s welfare first.

1-to-1
My 1-to-1 option provides a great opportunity to focus on exactly the needs of you and your dog. These sessions can be conducted in person or online, and will be tailored to meet your needs.
Puppy School
Puppy School Worcester provides a comprehensive programme for young puppies, which has been carefully designed to take you through all the basics, giving you a great foundation for life with your new puppy.
Group Classes
These classes will further build the bond between you and your dog. We will develop life skills as well as giving you a toolkit for fun enrichment activities, to support you throughout your dog’s life.

I founded Houghton’s Hounds to offer ethical, science-based training centred around positive reinforcement.
If you’d asked 5-year-old Charlie what she wanted to be when she grew up, I would always say a vet. I have always adored animals and tried to surround myself with them as much as I could. But when I got into my teenage years, I realised just how hard and long the veterinary training is (kudos to all the vets out there!) and I took another path.
I now proudly run Puppy School classes in Worcester and also offer 1-2-1 support for new puppy owners, or dogs of any age. I am working towards accreditation with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) and Institue of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).
